I wrote My Dreams of You back in February 2018, during a stretch of rainy days in North Vancouver. I remember just watching the rain hit the windows of my apartment—it had this kind of melancholic calm that ended up shaping the whole mood of the track.
The title was partly a nod to Van Morrison’s These Dreams of You, but over time it started to feel more personal—more about longing for moments and people that feel like they’ve drifted into the past.
